Export Market Intelligence Platform (EC4J Project)
Overview:
In 2024, Shooting Star Ltd., in partnership with Light Castle Partners Ltd. and NKSOFT Corporation, was commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce under the Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project to design and implement an advanced Export Market Intelligence Platform (MIP). This 12-month initiative represents a pivotal shift in how Bangladeshi exporters access, analyze, and act on global market data.
Background:
While the ready-made garment (RMG) sector has long driven Bangladesh’s exports, economic resilience demands diversification. The EC4J initiative identified four key sectors—Leather & Leather Goods, Footwear, Light Engineering, and Plastics—for competitive development.
To support this, the MIP was envisioned as a one-stop digital platform delivering real-time global market trends, buyer insights, compliance information, and trade data, helping exporters make informed, timely, and strategic decisions.

Technical Platform Development:
- Designed and built a mobile-responsive web platform with user-friendly UX/UI
- Deployed and maintained the platform throughout the assignment period
