Overview:
In a bold move to modernize Bangladesh’s agricultural sector, Shooting Star Ltd., in joint venture with Syntech Solutions Ltd., implemented the Development, Operation & Maintenance of Firm Machinery & Resource Management System under the Mechanization through Integrated Management Project of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE).
Background:
While agriculture remains a key pillar of Bangladesh’s economy, the sector faces several structural challenges:
- Lack of real-time data on farm machinery use
- Inefficient tracking of government-deployed agricultural equipment
- Limited integration of farmers’ needs and field-level operations into national planning
To address this, the Ministry of Agriculture initiated this project to digitally transform the way agricultural machinery and farmer data are monitored, tracked, and managed—thereby improving productivity, service delivery, and long-term planning.
